Best practice Selection

Selecting the right Director or senior Manager for an Interim Role means hiring a senior decision maker. Even if the assignment is short, it is essential to that the same exacting standards of selection as for equivalent permanent roles are utilised to maximise the appropriateness of the profile of the assigned Interim.

Depending on the basis of engagement and agreed selection approach, included in the D'Alton Kingswell process can be:

The structured interview process is designed to assess each candidate in line with the competencies required. The structure is in part developed with our client at the early job specification stage. A shortlist report is prepared including scored competencies together with a profile report including an objective commentary on the assessed suitability of the candidate.

Shortlisted candidates are presented after a face-to-face meeting, and references are taken direct from referrees, not written ones provided by candidates, and presented along with the profile report. Whilst D'Alton Kingswell cannot warrant the competencies of any one candidate, all reasonable efforts are made to objectively assess each candidate.

Advertised Selection:

Interim positions, where time permits, can be advertised to ensure the assignment gains maximum exposure as well as having the added advantage of raising the Client's company profile. We advise on optimum advertising strategies, encompassing all media forms including web based recruitment. This ensures the most cost effective mediums are used.

Database Search:

Our database is extensive, of high quality and is continually updated. Our emphasis is on quality as opposed to quantity and thus candidate placement on our database is restricted. With powerful search technology, database searches are highly effective.
